Focus on Gratefulness

Life can be so stressful at times that we spend a lot of time complaining about things in general. We have relationships woes, financial difficulties and our boss is a moron, the list could go on.
I want to turn this all around, surely besides slapping my boss around the head with a wet fish, there are better ways to cope and even thrive while living a decent and may i say a normal life. Let’s look around, i live in a decent house, drive an ok car and i do for now have my job. It doesn’t matter what or how much or how little we have we can always find a few things to be grateful about.
I am grateful for my health
I am grateful for this cup of tea
I am grateful for the air that i breathe
I am grateful for being alive
Being grateful is finding some good in any and every circumstance and learning to appreciate all that you already have. A good way is to start appreciating all the small things,
The sun on your face,
The aroma of you cup of coffee,
A little quiet time between phone calls,
A smile
There a myriad of things one can be appreciative of and give a quiet little thank you in acknowledgment.
I like to start my day by giving thanks for a good night sleep, the warmth of my bed, the rising of the sun and my first cup of tea. By appreciating the little things in life i can make way for more good things to come.
It is so easy to take everything for granted and to miss out on all those little wonderful things that make up Life.
If the focus is on problems, they tend to increase and magnify. If the focus is on the good we already have we will attract more of the same.
Directing your thoughts towards the good will expand it and your life will be the richer for it.
